April 5th 2014:
Soundcloud.com is a great website that allows one to share music easily across many platforms, and will let you post 2 hours of music for free! So, I have just put a bunch of music up there for everyone to share! Sorry, no "Stacked" bands are on there, and no TEST APES since they have a separate soundcloud page... but a couple of tunes from almost everything else is!
...So, enjoy! And please tell your friends!
AUSTIN CHRONICLE REVIEWS INSECT SEX ACT
April 4th, 2014:
Today there was a pretty nice review from the Austin Chronicle of the new INSECT SEX ACT release! I love his reference to RICHY VEGAS as "an overstimulated scenester who raps incessantly into your earhole even as bands play at full volume". That cracks me up!
If so inclined, you can read it on the INSECT SEX ACT page, under the 'Stacked Bands' tab, upper left corner...
STACKED RECORDS SAMPLER! LISTEN NOW
April 4, 2014:
Now that INSECT SEX ACT's new LP, "A Fist Full of Panties, For a Few Panties More, or Once Upon a Time in Your Panties" is being released, I decided to upload the old STACKED RECORDS SAMPLER that we had used as a promotional and promptly ran out of a few years back. Bands on the sampler are: AREOLA 51, SANGRE DE TORO, INSECT SEX ACT, and NAUGAHYDE DREAM SEQUENCE, featuring songs off of 7 Stacked Records releases.
Access the compilation on the STACKED BANDS homepage by clicking the tab for "Stacked Bands", upper left corner of the page...
TAXI CRAB NEBULA! LISTEN NOW
April 2, 2014:
I wanted this up yesterday to celebrate APRIL FOOLS DAY, but oh well, I hope you all had a good one yesterday.
Anyway...
One time I made this record that featured wonderful ME, with a different "band" for each song. At least, that's what I wanted to try to do. Plus, I was totally just learning how to use the software PROTOOLS at the time and needed stuff to practice on. It had a really great roster of musicians, though, like RANDY 'BISCUIT' TURNER, MIKE SCACCIA, BRETT BRADFORD, ADAM GROSSMAN, JOSH CHALMERS, REY WASHAM, LOUIS SVITEK, JASON CRAIG AND MC's BADSEED AND YOUNG and the result was pretty far out and stuff, but then I don't know what happened... but nothing happened.
I mean, it kinda got handed around to some friends. They all loved it. But then it got stuck on a shelf, like a lot of other stuff I've made, and I just moved on to the next thing...
WANNA HEAR IT? ?
Go to the brand new TAXI CRAB NEBULA page under the "projects" tab... upper left corner of this page
YE OLDE NUGGETS! 3 unreleased song demos and a cover! March, 22 2014:
I was scanning and uploading about 20 pics of the Castletons when I ran across a cd that said "castletons II" on it!

New INSECT SEX ACT cd is done!
March 14, 2014:
Looky there!
from Tobias Eriksson on facebook: "The new Insect Sex Act CD is here! If you like Scratch Acid you will love this. Insect Sex Act is Brett Bradford (Scratch Acid), Max Brody (Ministry), Jason Craig (Pocket FishRmen) and Richard Alexander (Richy Vegas). Don't miss their show at The Grackle tonight at 8:40 pm with Lance Farley (Hickoids) on drums. They sounded awesome at practice!"
Tobias, you really did it, this time! You managed to get a copy of the new cd BEFORE I even got one! I will never forget MINISTRY playing in Norway and you walking up with a PINK ANVIL cd asking for an autograph...I didn't even know how you got it. It had JUST come out on IPECAC. For those who don't know of him, he is not only a nice feller, but also the leader of a great band called LIGHT SCREAMER, and you should just go ahead and look them up sometime and give them a listen when you need some rocket sauce. He seems to know about ALL the underground bands in Austin's past and present more than many Austin musicians do.
...But HE LIVES IN SWEDEN. How do you do it?
Also, YOUR ATTENTION: I will be adding a bunch of photos all around, including a bunch of MINISTRY photos in the next day or so to the band webpages, so, check around! I've been trying to tackle scanning in a large box of physical photos over the last week or so...its a big job. I got some of it done...

TEST APES BLOG #2
In The Studio, January 22, 2014
Happy March, SXSWers.
Even if you’re not going, or in the slightest bit interested in SXSW...Happy March: the month that Austin gets completely taken over by the music festival year after year. As much as I miss it, I am happy to NOT be in Austin this month, I must admit.
But it was there that I went to one of their little 'class sessions with bigwigs' and heard what I thought was a good idea-- and it has recently paid off... (read more on the TEST APES PAGE. Also...there's VIDEO...) INSECT SEX ACT LIVE 2007
February 17th, 2014:
I ran across some old footage (2007) and wanted to share it. Austin used to have lots of great outdoor parties like this one.
You can access it under the "Stacked" Bands tab upper left corner, and then clicking on INSECT SEX ACT

You can listen to it and read an actual review if you go to the projects tab at the top of the page and pick "2004-2007 stuff".

An Open Letter From Richy Vegas
7/31/13:
I received a package the other day. And much to my glee, out fell a CD with a press release that said:
" 7/7/2013,
Dear Everyone,
Here it is! From the studio of Cris Burns to your hot little hands; "The World's Least Important Singer/Songwriter", the second solo offering from Richy Vegas. The 2013 follow-up to his smash 2010 debut, "Man's Inhumanity To Me".
This makes not one, but two solo projects completed and released by Richy Vegas Before Insect Sex Act's record has even come out once! Eat your heart out, ISA guitarist/producer Brett Bradford!
"The World's Least Important Singer/Songwriter" features the must-have single, "Trucker Bomb", which is, as far as this writer can tell, the only song about this commonplace bit of highway litter ever written and performed by anyone! And it's on a Richy Vegas release, no less. "The World's Least Important Singer/Songwriter", indeed!
Enjoy!
Richard Alexandar "
So there you have it. Richy Vegas, the singer for Insect Sex Act's country alter-ego lives on!! For more information and to see some awesome drawings and art by this one of a kind guy go to his website:

YE OLDE CASTLETONS LP: "IN LIKE WITH LOVE" hear it now!
July 30th, 2013:
Ye Olde Castletons was a band that I was in for a few years around the turn o the century... We made one sweet cd and played a bunch of shows and ate a lot of bbq and drank a lot of dirty, dirty vodka martinis. You can hear the results by clicking the OTHER BANDS tab upper left corner o the page.
SHIT SHERLOCK: "The Ballad of St. Crespi" now up!
July 28th, 2013:
Shit Sherlock is an on-going project with the one and only Jimbo Yongue of Daddylonghead fame.
For more on the EP, and to hear it plus two bonus tracks, go to the Shit Sherlock page under PROJECTS...
SUFFER ROBOT ep now up!
July 27th, 2013:
Suffer Robot was a project that I did with Victor Poison-Tete from the infamous 80's NYC band RATATRATR. (RATATRATR came from the same scene that SONIC YOUTH, THE SWANS and eventually LIVE SKULL came out of). In 2006, Victor ran across a Myspace page that I used to have, and decided to contact me. It turned out that we had a lot in common, and soon decided to do a project long distance. In 2007, I had the opportunity to actually go to NYC for a month or two, where we basically finished most of the singing tracking. Later, he had an opportunity to fly out to Austin for a session at Frumunda (my studio). Through Victor, I also got hooked up with Stu Spasm from LUBRICATED GOAT, which turned into another whole project. But that's another story.
For now, I invite you to enjoy SUFFER ROBOT, by clicking the link under the "Projects" link to the left...
F.U. Video from 2010

Much more to come...
Areola 51: 6 songs live...
June 4, 2013:
Geez, will Areola 51 EVER release their second CD (called, " AREOLA 51: THE DOUBLE D SIDES")?? Its been in the can for years...
...actually...I'm workin' on that. In the meantime, I'm pleased to let you know that I ran across a videotape of Areola 51 playing at Room 710 in Austin, Tx. and picked out 6 songs for your enjoyment.
Access them by hitting the ""Stacked" Bands" link near the top left side of the page...
...For those of you just tuning in, AREOLA 51 is ex members of BUTTHOLE SURFERS (Pinkus, bass), SCRATCH ACID (Brett, Guitar) and (myself, drums) MINISTRY... we have one self titled cd which at this point has sold out, but which we may have to re-release whenever we figure out how we are going to release DOUBLE D SIDES!
Live Sangre De Toro Footage Unearthed
April 2013:
So, I am digging in to this big box of old tapes and stuff, and had found some old VHS tapes of Sangre performances recently. In April I have been preparing them for your viewing. I am happy to say that they are now over on the "Stacked" Bands page, which you can access to the left...
INSECT SEX ACT...final mix time!
Feb. 26, 2013:
Insect Sex Act is slotted to go into Cris Burn's studio in south Austin to perform final mixes on our full length CD this Wednesday. I am so excited to announce that 13 songs in total (including a DEVO cover!) should be getting all finished up in the next couple days. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be there...I'll be in Washington state. But I was sent a rough mix recently, and I must say it is turning out great. We are all pretty stoked. I'd like to thank Ezra Reynolds for coming in and adding some killer organ parts, by the way!
After giving it a listen I sent an email to Brett, writing down all my concerns and suggestions for each number. All of us are really happy with the results so far, and are chomping at the bit to share it with everyone. I should have more news about this soon, and I will keep everyone posted concerning its progress. Excitement!
****March 3rd, 2013: UPDATE****
It would seem that Brett and the boys finished up with all but 3 of the 13 songs, so I hope to get a rough mix in the mail soon and give it another review! I'll soon see how it went...also if you head over to the Stacked page, I just put a video up from Youtube that somebody filmed of us playing at the Legendary White Swan in 2012 of a song called "Gravy".

Feb. 24, 2013:
Yup, I sold the van. For those who knew it, know why its worth mentioning. I loved that van, and it served me well. But its ok, I got a car. I am also happy to say that I think I'll have time to work on this site more soon. Sorry, but I've just been too caught up in household stuff to get anything else up for yall...
Fortunately, Julien (CHURCHWOOD, ex-Sangre De Toro) did a little something for us. He just posted a video of Euripides Pants playing at the Electric Lounge from back in 1995! So, now you too can watch it ...if you go over to my "other bands" page :) Thanks Julien, I had no idea there was any footage of Euripides Pants playing a show. I am really grateful to see that footage! It really takes me back! The name of the song, by the way is "Slick" by Herb Alpert.

Mike Scaccia Dead! Dies of a Heart Attack on Stage!
I am devastated by the loss of my close friend Mike Scaccia. I reach out to his wife Jenny and his kids and offer my love and support. Our lives are forever changed. I'll never forget our fine times together and the work that I am so proud to have done with you...
Mikey, you did what you set out to do: To Rock the World. I am proud of you. You did well.
I will be sure to focus on the Goobersmoochers portion of this site as soon as I recover from the hangover I am about to give myself. Cheers to you Mr. Scaccia! RIP
Below comes from Rolling Stone.com:
By Greg Prato
December 23, 2012
Mike Scaccia, the guitarist for Ministry and Rigor Mortis, died on Saturday night at the age of 47. Scaccia was performing onstage at the Rail Club in Fort Worth, Texas, as part of a 50th birthday celebration for Rigor Mortis singer Bruce Corbitt, when he collapsed. Shortly afterwards, he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Glad you're seeing it at the beginning, because this is it: WELCOME TO MY LONG AWAITED WEBSITE!! This is the future home to all that is, was, or is about to be Max Brody, and what in the past might have been known as Frumunda Musick, or Stacked Records...
Today is 12-12-2012...
NEWSFLASH:
In September 2012, I moved back up to the Seattle, WA. area after having lived in Austin, TX. for 18 years. I am proud to say that I was able to bring my daughter with me and that that part is over! Its been a lot of grunt, and I'm broke, but I am excited to restart.
I am not currently in any band (although I am involved in an on-going recording project with John Hawkins from CRUST...to be named soon...) and as such I am finally taking the time to organize and present to the world a retrospective of my last 27 years of musical work. Yeah... 27 years. I cant' believe its been that long. Its a huge and daunting task, dealing with many groups. I have boxes of cassettes, CDs, DAT tapes, old drives full of video and audio, boxes of posters and flyers, physical photographs, T-shirts, stickers, newspaper clippings and data of all sorts...its ridiculous. And I've got to make sure I don't piss anyone off...some stuff I know I can just post, other stuff I've got to make sure its okay...
